REQUIREMENTS
---> Make a 5x7 postcard, double sided, full color
---> Front: Visuals and vector drawings (you will NOT use images from the internet - you are creating your own images in illustrator inspired by and in the style of the designer that you have chosen. This is your OWN creation - not a copy and past job.
---> Back: Text and Info about the designer - make the thoughtful in composition. do not make this an afterthought.
--->Adhere front and back panel together w/double sided mounting paper.
--->Make a minimum of 5 copies. One for me. Second for your portfolio. Three extras to pass to your peers (you might have a popular card and people might want more! you might want to make more!)
---> You MUST DO THIS IN ILLUSTRATOR!
DATES: April 9th // Intro Assignment. Start research. Learn about all of the designers that I have posted! Over the weekend make a blog post about the designer you are going to choose.
April 14th // Tech Demo / work in class on postcard / upload process to flickr for process crit.
April 16th // Tech Demo / upload front and back for a FINAL FLICKR CRIT. Your postcard should be finished in your eyes. You will have the weekend to refine and print for final turn in and peer distribution in class on the 21st.
April 21st: FINAL DUE - Front and Back uploaded to flickr. Upload image LARGE (will show you how) so students who don't receive a card from you can download and print their own if they choose to do so! Upload your final FRONT AND BACK to your blog as well. Write a project reflection post.
